Where Fuzzy Writing Gets Clear

Do you wonder if your writing is clear to others?

Are you worried about making mistakes with grammar and punctuation?

Is maintaining a smooth flow from sentence to sentence and paragraph to paragraph difficult for you?

I help my clients produce written materials that are clear, concise, engaging, and accurate, and that reflect a professional use of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax.

Over the past thirty years, my clients have ranged from individuals and small businesses to major corporations. I have also served non-profit organizations and government offices.

The projects I have completed include

  • books with a spiritual focus
  • web content
  • articles, business proposals, and reports
  • computer user guides and written procedures
  • letters, informational handouts, and flyers.

For a free half-hour introductory consultation, I invite you to contact me at 707 823-1596 or treasure@sonic.net.

The Basics

I begin each writing project by following three rules: Use Short Words, Keep It Simple, and Be Clear. For details, see Tips.

For every piece of writing, I ask:

  • Is it accurate?
  • Is it complete?
  • Is it too complex—or, too basic?
  • Is information easy to find?
  • Does it need an index, illustrations, tables?

I also check for these musts:

  • Each paragraph sticks to one point.
  • There's no unnecessary repetition.
  • There are no run-on sentences.
