Where Fuzzy Writing Gets Clear

Is a writing or editing project weighing on your mind?

Let me lighten the load!

I actually enjoy translating fuzzy information into plain English.

Along the way, I ensure a professional use of grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation.

Over the past thirty years, my clients have ranged from individuals and small businesses to major corporations. I also serve non-profit organizations and government agencies.

The projects I have completed include

  • web content
  • articles, business proposals, reports
  • books, user guides, manuals
  • letters, and flyers.

For a free half-hour introductory consultation, contact me at 707 823 1596 or treasure@sonic.net.

Editing Basics

Start by following three rules for writing: Use Short Words, Keep It Simple, and Be Clear. For details, see Tips.

Then ask key questions of each document:

  • Is it accurate?
  • Is it complete?
  • Is it too complex—or, too basic?
  • Is information easy to find?
  • Does it need an index, illustrations, tables?

Check for these musts, too:

  • Each paragraph sticks to one point.
  • There's no unnecessary repetition.
  • There are no run-on sentences.
